WHY IS IT NO FUN BEING A WOMAN IN AMERICA?
America although regarded as one of the greatest countries of the world the women is treated very badly. Despite being the leading countries in economy, healthcare and global dominance and not wrongly so, it differs greatly when the status of women around the world is compared to those in America. Consequently being a woman is America means that everyday one has to be the victim of sexual comments and maybe assault. The situation was worsened so rapidly in the last decade that American women have grown used to the catcalling, the common remarks and the assaults they face every day.
American women are no less different from the women around the world. Although many believe the condition of women are better in America yet, Gender Inequality, Discrimination, Sexism, Disrespect, Objectification, Sexual abuse, Exploitation and unfair treatment are all part of the lives of women here. Women face harassment almost every day of their lives, they are treated as objects and exploited based on their appearance, race, ethnicity etc. Those women were not only denied equal pay but also were discriminated, even though they were capable of performing the same duties to that of men. The rise of Women’s movement and Feminism has been attributed to the improving conditions of women in America, yet the changes are negligible.
