For this assessment you are required to write an essay addressing the following prompt:

There are various theories about children, childhood and education that consider social, cultural, historical and philosophical factors. Present your insight, understanding and analysis of how these factors affect child development and learning and inform your teaching practice.

Your essay should include:

1. An introduction that summarises what will be covered in your essay.


2. A discussion and analysis:
