g and prolonged activation of the body’s stress-management system (Bridgman, 2014). Separation can be either due to discords in marriage or for the children whose parents are deployed in the army. They look up to their parents for emotional, psychological and social support. This goes missing in such cases which slowly and gradually impacts the development of the kids as single parenting has its own challenges. The separation acts as a stressor for the children in different situations.
