For a tourism destination to be successful, it must have something that attracts tourists to the area. For this assignment, you will design a new tourism attraction for a city of your choice (either U.S. or International city). It can be any kind of attraction as long as it highlights the city or local community. For example, you could design a children’s theme park in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which highlights the local Native American culture. You have a budget of $5 million to design and build your attraction. (Important note: Do not write about a tourism attraction that already exists. It must be a completely new attraction.) Write a four to five (4-5) page paper in which you:

Assess the types of organizations in the distribution process you would contact for information about the new attraction.

Determine the reason this attraction would be successful. Be sure to provide statistical data in your response.

Distinguish how this attraction utilizes the transportation that exists in the city or local community. Determine if the transportation is sufficient and how the transportation system would impact the success of the new attraction.

Indicate how the new attraction brings value to the local community and what, if any, negative aspects it might create.

Use at least five (5) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not quality as academic resources.

Introduction 
Tourism has taken the world by storm and there lies enormous opportunities of growt
h. All the countries of the world have something unique that set them apart from others. The 
very uniqueness of a country becomes the most sought after tourist destination. It has also op
ened up opportunities for corporates to start up a tourist attraction which can at least pull up t
he domestic crowd. However, there are a number of tourist attractions in New York but there 
still lies a great scope for attraction having uniqueness considering it is an international city a
nd pulls up a large crowd every year from around the world. Also, its own population very bi
g and people will go to the attraction if they want it worthwhile. 
The Idea 
I would go for designing a wax museum of popular sports stars of the world. The mus
eum will contain the wax replicas of the popular sports stars of the world from all the popular 
games. The replicas will closely resemble the stars and it will also have a detailed booklet ab
out that stars containing his background and achievements. It will be a big bonanza for all the 
sports lovers of the US citizens as well as the tourists across the globe. The concept of wax m
useum is already there as Madam Tussaud museum has opened up its branch there. But this i
dea is completely different from that as it caters only a particular segment of stars (Gamaliel, 
2000).  
Distribution Process and Organizations 
The very first step towards designing the museum will be getting requisite informatio
n about the whole process. I will have to contact all the people required to create amazing wa
