Following is a list of variables used in the ANES. For each variable, think of a relationship where that variable could be the independent variable; then think of a different relationship where that variable could be the dependent variable. For the other variable in each relationship, you don’t need to restrict yourself to variables in the ANES.
a. Level of education
b. Days per week watch TV news
c. Times per month one attends religious services
d. Number of children a person has
e. Feeling thermometer toward big business
f. Political views
g. Having a smartphone
h. Hours one works in a week
i. Whether or not one has a dog
j. Support of environmental movement
