Introduction:
The project report is discusses about the “frequency design” and “pl
astic 300 mm rule design study” by using fundamental theoretical aspect of mechanical engineering and CAD (computer aided design) technology. In this case, there are mainly two experiment has been perform by two different techniques i.e. theoretical technique and software methods. In first case, the acrylic rule needs to place over the flat surface by keeping overhang or cantilever position and allows it to vibrate by nominal amount of perpendicular force applied over the surface. Due to vibration, the frequency observes by experimentally Yu, L. (2014). In order to find the frequency parameter, the finite element analysis approach using through solid works software, at the same time, the vibration analysis perform in order to find frequency at different mode shape. In next task, the plastic 300mm rule design study has been present. The design aspect needs to consider for optimum design of plastic rule when applied load at 1N over the surface. The analysis performs through fundamental mechanical engineering concept and solid works software solution using finite element analysis approach.
Problem definition:
The machine element and assembly has been prepared by mainly three fundamental method of engineering i.e. using fundamental mechanical engineering methodology, software application and experimental methodology Zhiping Yu (2010). In order to design any machine component, it is require to design through machine design fundamental equation and CAD application. In this case, there are two experiment needs to perform in order to find behavior under given boundary and loading condition.
Problem definition: steel rule
As per the given geometry the steel rule having 30 x 3 x 300 mm cross section area and fixed at one ends. The force applied to the steel rule at the one end and force applied 1N at the other ends. This is case of cantilever beam subjected to point load at the other ends. This is the actual condition. Now, the reaction obtains from the simulation procedure by considering fundamental analytical methodology and finite element analysis method uses to find the optimum solution by both methodology i.e. analytical methodology and software applications Haftka, R. (2010).
