EDEC109 CURRICULUM APPROACHES FOR THE EARLY YEARS
Introduction
The first is God's emotional existence and expertise. Christian faith's trademark is that God is relational, and that He is knowable. As mentioned by Avery (2017), it is rooted in the Trinity belief, as the Incarnation teaches us that God was a relational being long before the existence of the universe. On the other hand, Hinduism is an indigenous, polytheistic religion, based primarily in India. It has an undiscovered origin; however, it is thought that elements have produced in the Indus Vall

Question A: What is the creation story or explanation for the beginning of life, origin of the universe?
God created the Universe according to Christian belief. There are two accounts about how God made it that are mentioned in the bible at the start of the book of Genesis. Many Christians see Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 as two events that are entirely different and have identical meanings BBC UK, (2020). For Hindus Brahma, the creator who shaped the universe out of himself, created the universe. It is Vishnu's force, after Brahma created the universe that preserves the universe and human beings. It is Shiva, who will eventually destroy the world as part of the process of birth, life, and death BBC UK, (2020).
In Christianity there are two stories related to the explanation for the beginning of life, origin of the universe. While in Hinduism, god Brahma is responsible for beginning of life. They are similar as both beginning of the life story divided in into parts where god or human intervention involved to bringing life on earth. In Genesis, the whole story is right away followed by a second story of creation, where only humans are first created, supported by plants and animals. However, in Hinduism, Brahma god: The deity liable for the world’s inception and all living creatures.
Question B: What is the main Scripture or source of knowledge in the tradition?
The Bible is the holy text, or set of books, acknowledged as specifically inspired by God by the Christian Church and therefore authoritative, offering instructions for belief and behaviour (Christian Bible, (2020). There are five primary sacred texts of Hinduism, each associated to an evolutionary stage of Hinduism. These are:
1) The Vedic Verses, written in Sanskrit between 1500 and 900 B.C
2) The Upanishads, written between 800 and 600 B.C
3) Ramayana
4) The Laws of Manu, written around 250 B.C. and
5) The Mahabharata, mostly written around 200 B.C. and 200 A.D (Facts and Details, (2020, Para 2)
Hinduism has several sacred texts but there is no single sacred text like the Bible. Hinduism has several sacred texts but there is no single sacred text like the Bible. Both developed their method of scriptural worship and beliefs. Hinduism has not only one holy book but also several scriptures. The scriptures of the Vedas guide Hindus through their daily lives. They also help maintain family and societal religious dimensions.
Question C: What are 5 of its moral instructions for living a good life (or moral values)?
A moral value according to Christianity is worship
1. Only God
2. Be Kind to All People
3. Be Humble
4. Be Generous with Time and Money
5. Practice what you Preach; Don't be a Hypocrite (Christian Bible, (2020) Genesis 1:1).
According to Hindu,
1. Karma
2. Dharma
3. Yamas
4. Niyamas and
5. Divinity (Facts and Details, (2020) Para 3)
Hinduism is not an organized religion, and its belief system has no clear, structured approach to teaching. However, in the Bible, Lessard-Clouston (2017) has explained that if person remains a baby and thereby become a spiritual dwarf, it would be against the rule of God and nature. Both religions intended to let people learn what determines positive conduct and what contributes to freedom.
As explained by Stott (2017), the principles taught in the Bible are mostly the opposite of earthly values: generosity and respect rather than authority; kindness rather than status; sincerity and generosity rather than richness. The purpose of morality or ethics is essential. It meant to maintain social order and consistency. The Bible states that one of continuous development is that of Christian culture. Person was born into the family of Christ, before s/he was born again. It is the intention of God that in Christ that one should grow into fill proportion and become mature.
Question D: What happens when you do something wrong in this tradition? How do you reconcile or correct wrongdoing or ‘restore honour’?
A Christian is willing to take responsibility for beginning the reconciliation process, irrespective of how distant or isolation persisted. Reconciliation almost often requires both remorse and justification-both acknowledging own wrongdoing and pointing out on the other wrong. If we put together these two approaches, we can generate a realistic summary, including the one that follows in stages (Keller, 2020). The related karma should yield its effects when the time comes right.
The person who had done the wrong karma if he / she sincerely repents for it, then the consequences of bad karma will be minimized as the person in the process of Paschatap / repentance has already experienced some portion of this bad karma (Facts and Details, 2020) Para 4). God of the Bible is benevolent and therefore does not want you to perish. He will save you. However, in Hinduism, Karma will get back to the person, who did bad thing. There is redemption and forgiveness available for person, who did bad thing.
In Christianity, people will never tire of pardoning, repenting and trying to restore their relationships with others. Christian worldview addresses loud and clear. Forgiving sin means protecting oneself from the implications of wrong actions. To put it another way, ask somebody else to endure those negative effects in our place. In Hinduism, Karma plays major role even if person do not get any punishment.
Question E: What does the worldview tell you about the purpose and future of life?
In Christianity, God wishes all men to repent, and to come to know the knowledge of truth. Yet he warns those who actively deny God's grace in their lives, and do not follow Lord Jesus Christ’s message. They will miss out on the everlasting chance. The purpose and future of life is to love and obey God (Bible, Genesis 11). The meaning of life, according to Hinduism, the oldest and most diverse religion, embraces four common goals – Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha.
For a meaningful life, one has to attain all of these goals (Facts and Details, (2020) Para 11). Hinduism religion beliefs that people who struggle to reach out of greed and focus on having compassion for...
