Find a recent example of a foodborne illness event in your regional area. Provide a brief overview of the issue, including what type of agent it was and how it occurred. Drawing on your professional experience and understanding of this week’s lecture material, critique this event (you may wish to consider the following elements in your critique: the impact of the event, the social/cultural/political issues that influenced the event, the response (or lack thereof), or the frequency/duration of food-based events in this region). Please reference the report of your foodborne illness event (this is the only required reference, additional references may be used at your discretion).
