· The effect of synchronized online instruction vs. face-to-face
 
In face to face learning, you can clear your doubts then and there, communicate easily with the teacher and also adjusts to body language of the teacher. The teacher’s physical presence, expression, and the accent would be very effective in impressing one’s mind than a mere video online class. Also in face to face there is an opportunity to learn with other peers, hence has a better impact on the mind, helps to remember things by associating with the friends’ or teachers’ faces. But online learning helps to learn technical things in a good and detailed manner. In depth studies where skill is required, online classes are better.
A researcher wants to study the effects of face to face learning compared to online learning. He took a random sample of nearly 500 students from various institutes, and surveyed them with the following questions:
i) Is understanding and communication good?
ii) Are technical skills made known to everyone in the class independently?
iii) If both are available at your affordable costs, which would you prefer?
The survey revealed that out of 500 people taken 350 people were from face to face classes while remaining 150 were from online classes.
Out of 350, 250 felt understanding and communication good. Technical skills are made known to everyone was accepted by 150 people out of 350 people. In online classes, only 50 felt understanding and communication was good while technical skills 125 people said they were able to learn independently.
