Tips for Success:
Formulate an argument, and support it with concepts and facts from the readings and films watched in class
Be clear and concise with your arguments and supporting points
Don’t go off topic – make sure you’re addressing the question that is being asked
This is not a reflection paper so don’t make claims without grounding them in ideas and facts learned in
the course
Cite quotes, paraphrasing or mentioning of any idea that is not uniquely your own – use APA
formatting style
Avoid intentional and unintentional plagiarism – Blackboard is sensitive to it and will pick up
Once you’re done writing – have a friend proofread it not just for grammar/spelling, but to also see if
you have adequately addressed the question with an argument of your own with clarity and conciseness
Don’t rush your writing – if you want to write a quality paper, start writing early and give yourself time
to revise and submit on time
