INTRODUCTION
The given assignment highlights the facilities management and future proofing of Cricket sport in Australia. The facility management aims to support stakeholders to plan, scope, budget, design and deliver enhanced and improved cricket recreational facility expected outcomes and projects across Australia. Cricket is the well-renowned sport in Australia and continuously getting enhanced facilities by the boards of Australia. Many associations, committees, cricket agencies are very keen to work towards improving facilities regarding cricket. If any association involved with some sports, then having a management plan and future guidelines for the concerned sports is of the utmost importance. The project planning generally involves several stages like project scope, Feasibility and planning, design and budget, construction, and management. Australia cricket board has provided the standard and best quality services as possible and enhanced the use, experience, and enjoyment of players at all levels. The scrutiny and orientation of cricket fields are crucial for planning purpose. Appropriate dimensions and layout for cricket playground design and layout depend upon the location and primary use. A well-defined and managed facility is significant to provide recreational and sport facility opportunities for local communities.
The given project will discuss the improved facilities related to the cricket which will be followed by the brief introduction. The facility management will be presented to describe the plans and policies related to the concerned sport along with the ideas like nature of the facility, programming, operations, logistics, marketing, organisational and strategic structure, and construction and design.
FACILITY MANAGEMENT
Facility management plays a significant role in attracting a large number of youths towards the sports. A management plan is one of the leading steps in sports or athletic facility. Having an appropriate management plan is quite remarkable to bring more talent in games along with retaining them on the same platform. Facility management includes generally include various management plans which include valuable social and financial returns, providing support to the Young athletic through communities and volunteers, offering relevant and needed services. Many athletic drop their sports career due to lack of adequate facilities and support system in the management. In Cricket sports, the facility manager is mainly responsible for creating the facility management plan and recreational facilities for the both existing and youth sportsperson from cricket sports background. The facility manager takes the decisions regarding approval of staff for the players to provide them with all necessary items while playing their sports, and volunteers to help them when needed. They also take valuable support from the medical team, sporting associations, different clubs, legal team, local government for the players. The medical team needed to the sports as injury may happen to any sportsperson while playing so, it is essential to have a medical team present for their quick and valuable services. Legal squad helps the cricket association when any fight happens between the players so; it is beneficial to have the proper legal system for it along with they also help in taking permission for the ground for multiple tournaments. Many clubs organise various competitions for the players and engage them in playing which improves their performance for the sports and many other games. The manager has a responsibility to provide the safe environment and playing conditions in their respected rooms and playground to the players so that they can play freely and make themselves relaxes in their place. The facility manager should describe clearly that how safe plating condition could be maintained to provide a valuable environment to the players and coaches. It is highly significant to make an appropriate plan that how facilities could be given to increase the morale and confidence of the players to work hard. The management plan must include all the details regarding the safe playing and must be checked by the players and staff members so that every person get to know their role and responsibility and works accordingly. Everybody knows that cricket is now favourite sports which do not need any recognition as many agencies, clubs, and governing body are keen to invest their money on it and to provide a pleasant and safe environment to the players. Australia government has been spent a right amount of money on cricket and improved the service in a best possible manner to increase the confidence of the players to give their best for not only their success as it all about the success of their country. Cricket is known to provide good money to the players as compared to the other sport. So, cricket federation is highly involved in proving valuable and leisure services to the players to boost their capability of working hard at all levels (Brukner, 2018).
The manager checked the outdoor facility on a regular basis to ensure the playground is clean and safe for the players and it is as per the guidelines provided by the facility management manager in their guide. The staff and coaches must check for any holes in the ground, the integrity of benches and fences, large rock, any low spots, and the presence of the standing and flood water in the playground to ensure safe playing of the players. The roles and responsibilities have been shared among the staff members so that the execution process takes place smoothly with any obstacles and delay in the work while playing. There must be a proper plan for every kind of risk in the playground so that no delay in the work could be faced as it may lead to danger.
Coaches and facility staff has the duly responsibility to ensure that proper equipment is available and in excellent condition so that the players would not find any difficulty while playing. Coaches must not force players to play with specific equipment's which are not in good condition as it may lead to unexpected accidents and injuries. The facility management team should describe the checking of equipment and all required facility to the players during their competitions. The manager must prepare a suitable plan about what steps could be taken in the event of floods, earthquakes, tornados, and lightning. There must be a plan that how to deal with such issues if happened. There could be proper mock drills to make them players familiar with such kind of mishap and what they should do and behave if present at that time. The valuable guidelines must be exchanged or shared between the coaches and staff for the safe and secure play. There must be proper investigation team so that if any player faces an issue regarding their game could be investigated in the best possible way (Brukner, 2018).
