Running Head: MANAGEMENT        1

MANAGEMENT
Assessment Task 1
1. The three approaches that can be utilized in order to convey ideas to the work force would include:
· One to one discussions- Through this method, better communication takes place as the manner and the employee interacts on one to one level. It makes the discussion personal and constant eye contact should be maintained in order to effectively communicate the ideas w
ith the workers.
· Open Meetings- it is an approach through, which leaders can openly discuss about their passion and their feelings in front of the work force. This makes communication much more effective as the employees can not only hear the ideas but also feel the sentiments that are associated with them. Owing to its effectiveness, it is considered one of the best methods to convey ideas to the employees.
· Presentations- With the use of audio and visual methods, leaders can engage the attention of the employees and hence the ideas can be conveyed in an effective way.
The three factors that should be taken into consideration while picking the best method to convey ideas include:
· The available technology and the varied facilities that can be utilized in order to communicate like whether there is availability of projectors for displaying presentation or not, and so on.
· The language that would be used to communicate and add subtitles in the presentation or arrange for a translator in case there are employees speaking other languages a well.
· The diversity of the work force
2. While communicating the ideas to the manager, the leaders can prepare presentations that would summarize the important details relating to the idea. Important facts and starts can be incorporated in the form of charts, tables, graphs, so that the idea is elaborated and is understood by the manager as well as the staff members (Fan, Leung, Nakayama, Hirsh & Hård, 2019).
Another approach that can be used to communicate the idea would be doing a follow up after the communication in order to make sure that idea has been properly conveyed or not.
3. In a personal setting, communicating ideas is easier as the one communicating the idea is doing it on a personal level providing full attention to the recipient of the idea. In a work environment, there is difference in work culture, language barriers and varied behavioral patterns. If an employee speaks in a different language, then communicating ideas in different language would not be that effective. Difference In organizational cultures may lead to a misunderstanding of the ideas that are conveyed. Moreover, in personal setting, there is a personal touch associated with the idea that is provided, whereas in work place setting it becomes professional which is not able to grab the attention of the employees.
4. The managers might suffer from anxiety and stress that had occurred from varied personal as well as professional matters like family abuse, argument with the colleagues, inability to manage and control the emotions.
The manger might believe that the work force is not able to think out of the person and take responsibilities in their own hands in order to accomplish a task. Therefore, the manger was not able to trust fully the employees an only gave them instructions to be carried out, thus blocking their ideas.
The managers fear that if the ideas of the employees are recognized, then they might think of the manger to be as incompetent of generating ideas by him.
5. While developing an idea, the proficiencies that are necessary include:
· Being creative and innovative- In order to choose the best method, a leader should be creative and think out of the box.
· Reasoning skills in order to find out the relevance and practicality of the idea in real life situations
· Problem solving skills in order to formulate ideas that would actually solve issues faced by the organiastion
· Research skills for finding out common grounds so that the employees can agree to communicate and resolve the issues
· Leaders should try not to exercise control and keep in mind the interests of the employees.
6. Habits of people creating great ideas include:
· Finding internal motivation- Individuals who have good ideas are spurred to take a shot at something since it is intriguing, including, energizing, fulfilling, or specifically testing. Studies have discovered that individuals are most inventive when they are naturally roused, instead of...
