Assignment 4.rtfINFS 815: Quantitative Research Methods Assignment 4 Q1. Consider the following research model that aims to explain knowledge management behaviors (knowledge collection, knowledge contribution, moderating behaviors, and knowledge utilization) in online communities of practice. The model builds on a study by Bateman et al. (2011), which defines continuance commitment, affective commitment, and normative commitments as three types of commitments exhibited by members of online communities of practice based on factors related to need, affect, and obligation respectively. In the research model, antecedents of each of these behaviors have been proposed. The provided Assignment-4.csv file has the associated data set with 449 observations (including some missing observations). Using SAS procedure PROC CALIS, perform (a) confirmatory factor analysis of the measurement model and (b) analysis of relationships between constructs (hypotheses), i.e. structural model analysis. Compile a detailed data analysis report (analogous to “Data Analysis” section in a journal article). (Continue on next page) Address the following data analysis issues in your report, providing detailed interpretation of the results. a.Assess the construct reliability and validity of the measurement model. b.Assess the overall model fit for the structural model with respect the fit and parsimony indices discussed in the lecture session c.Assess the comparative fit of the structural model and the measurement model. d.Using tests for mediation effects, test the following hypotheses: 1.The effect of Continuance Commitment (CONT) on Knowledge Contribution (CNTR) is hypothesized to be fully mediated by Knowledge Collection (COLL). 2.The effect of Normative Commitment (NORM) on Knowledge Contribution (CNTR) is hypothesized to be fully mediated by Moderating Behaviors (MODR). Q2. Read the “Readings” provided under Session 4 module on the “Content” webpage of...
