Examine the ASCII table in Table 2.4. Check that you can read ‘A’ as: 65, 41H or 1000001. What is ‘a’? Write your first name in hex, in binary and in decimal. What does the ASCII pair $0A $0D do to a text Window (or VDU)? Use the minimalist program in Fig. 2.10 to send different ASCII codes to the screen. Change the 7 to ‘7’ and see what happens. Explain the change.
