Everything you need is in the attachment. After it's complete I'll need 2 replies to my classmates also.

Discussion Board 2 Prompt: You are medical student applying for a competitive internship in cardiovascular treatment and surgery, but you must submit a petition for the branch you wish to intern with. Your petition must include a detailed description of the cardiovascular disease that is your primary area of interest, your knowledge of current research, and ideas for new treatment methods and/or future research. Based on these symptoms, choose one disease to specialize in: 1. Myocardial infarction 2. Hemorrhagic cerebrovascular accident 3. Ischemic cerebrovascular accident Through this 2-part discussion with your classmates, you will explain the disease, why you chose it using appropriate and sufficient evidence, and your ideas for future research, treatment options, etc. Your explanation should include the cause of the disease, impact on the anatomy and physiology of the body, demographics, symptoms, any current research, course of treatment and/or surgical options, and prognosis. You will respond to your classmates’ posts to convince them why they should also specialize in your disease and compare treatment ideas. You may also be convinced by a classmate to switch your initial disease choice or to consider other treatment concepts. Remember, no disease is a wrong choice, but you should approach this as if you are deciding what you want to work on throughout your career and what direction you want to take your research. Initial Post (Worth up to 70 points) · Length: 250-500 words · 12pt font · All sources (3 required) must be properly cited (see APA source citation below) · State and explain your choice. When stating the evidence, consider the challenges that others may have to your evidence and how you could counter those respectful challenges. APA Source Citation You must use at least 3 reputable scientific references to support your post (not including your textbook- if you use your textbook, you must also cite it). Reputable sources= peer reviewed scientific journal articles, accredited websites, or books. Google, Wikipedia, etc. are not acceptable sources. Your information must be credible, accurate, and well supported by evidence. The best sources of information are the research journals and the books as well as webpages maintained by professional societies and organizations. Search for articles and academic material should start with the electronic databases of libraries such as FTCC’s Paul H. Thompson Library (opens new window), PubMed (opens new window) or other such resources. When in doubt about material, use CARS checklist (opens new window) to see if it can be used in discussions and writings. You must cite all sources, both as and work cited and in-text. Citation format must be APA (See examples below). If you need more information, visit the Purdue Owl Writing Lab (opens new window) for instructions on proper formatting. Myocardial Infarction
Myocardial infarction (MI) is the scientific name given to heart attack. MI is a lethal disease that takes place when the heart muscles do not receive adequate blood and the tissue is ruptured. This condition arises due to blocking in one or more coronary arteries of the heart. The blockage may be due to the formation of plaques (cholesterol-containing deposits) and cellular wastes.
Another type of fat that contributes to the blockage of coronary arteries is Trans or hydrogenated fat. These types of fats are produced artificially and can be found in processed food. The most common symptoms of myocardial infarction are extreme pain in chest and tightness in the chest area. People also suffer from shortness of breath at that time. Some people sweat profusely, vomit and cough. Some people complain of dizziness and fast heart rate.
The symptoms of women are slightly different to what are experienced by men. The women complain of shortness of breath, light-headedness and nausea during the time of attack. They also suffer from jaw pain and upper back pain (Anderson & Morrow, 2017). A few women who survive MI often experience heart attack symptoms like the...
