Understanding of cities is an important virtue in recent times. It must be referred in both theoretical and practical manner cities across the globe are constantly evolving and transforming the entire ecosystem too. The significant issue is to determine what guides the policy maker, government, public sector and the private sector that bothers the transformation of the cities. The question that centers around is that whether the Urban Development is sustainable or not. According to the researcher’s definition of the sustainable development suggests that the development is sustainable if that meets the needs of the present generation without affecting the needs of the future generation. However, it is clear that the present notion of Urban Development is compromising the aspect of the needs of the future generation already (WORLD BANK, 2020).
