You must use headings to divide your document into appropriate sections to improve readability. (10 marks for layout and readability)

Identify and discuss current devices that could be used in your dwelling (start with systems you would genuinely want, followed by systems that you could include if you need to reach the 8 to 12 device groups). You should limit the number of IoT device groups to between 8 and 12 (eg a number of IoT light controllers would count as one device group etc). (10 marks for IoT device descriptions)

1. INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, Internet of Things (IoT) is slowly becoming a hot topic of discussion among the
individuals. It is a revolutionary concept that has the ability to change the way we live or work.
Internet of things can be considered as an ecosystem of different devices that are usually
connected via internet and have the ability to transfer the data with the help of network. The
“Things” consists of two parts. First one is sensors whose main function is to collect data. This
data can be anything. For example let us consider our smartphones. They consist of onboard
accelerometers that track our each and every movement. Other things like thermostats or LED
light bulbs know who is there in the room. Highway lights with sensors will know how many
people are moving and who they are. Sensors will collect all the data from all around the world.
The other part is actuators. The main function of actuators will be to act smartly according to
data. Like in the case of thermostats, as per the collected data it will set the temperature
according to the current needs. The smartphones always know our location. They can send this
data to Google maps for determining traffic congestion (Chahid, 2017). This will help in creating
driverless cars. Different e commerce companies like Amazon are already creating smart drones
that can deliver the package to the customers. So basically internet of things will totally change
the way we live or work. There will be no unnecessary intervention from the humans. Sensors
will collect data and then the whole system will analyze that data. Finally the actuators will do
the real things in our world. So, we can consider the sensors as the eyes and actuators as hands
(Gubbi, 2013). The system which connects both sensors and actuators will act as a brain.
Internet of things is the future and very soon it will be a part of each and every individual on the
earth.
2. IoT DEVICES
Currently knowingly or unknowingly we are using many IoT devices for our day to day activities.
Below I will point out some devices that I use followed by those that I genuinely want to use:
1. Smartphones
Well the first IoT device that has its worldwide presence is the smartphones. Daily we
use them for many activities. We can call smartphones as a magician because it is used
to control many other IoT devices.
2. Fitbit
This is the one device that I use on a daily basis and love the way it works. It tracks each
and every daily activities of a person. Fitbit tracks our steps, burned calories, sleep time
etc. These devices can be easily connected to our smartphones and we can access these
data. It has the capability to show our progress in graphs.

3. Google Glass
This is another IoT device that I use on a daily basis. Developed by Google this device is
used to perform many activities. With the help of voice we can interact, browse the net,
capturing pictures and do different types of things that we usually do with a
