Intelligence is that intellectual level, which can be meas
ured and it is difficult to change its capacity. Over the time the explanations on intelligence has changed as researchers with their views brought new conceptions (NIU, 2022). One such concept of multiple intelligences was proposed, by Harvard psychologist, Howard Gardener in 1983, in his book “Frames of Mind”.
Gardener’s theory of multiple intelligences suggests that not all people are born with same intelligence and there is no one type of intelligence exists. Gardner introduced seven intelligences and later he confirmed there are nine different types of intelligences consisting of: Logical/Mathematical, Interpersonal, Intrapersonal, Spatial, Musical, Bodily-Kinesthetic, Linguistic, Existential and Naturalist.
He also stated that the score of multiple intelligences vary from person to person as it is highly influenced with experiences and genetics. When the intelligence of high school students is discussed, it is necessary to know that only linguistic and logical intelligence is only stressed upon. According to Fadloli, Sumarti and Mursiti (2021), students who have other intelligences on higher side, their needs regarding the same are not catered in schools.
