Ethics remains one of the concerns in aiming for a Level 3-5 autonomy is on moral philosophy. There are issues on the decision system that self-driving cars, particularly decisions which will involve life.

How would you program the decision system of the self-driving car given this situation? Give a direct decision as to how you would program the system then identify the theory/school of thought which you align your decision with.

The self-driving car runs at 80 km/h. Suddenly it encounters an accident which needs for a quick decision, either to ram a car on a store with a group of people inside it (but will in turn save the driver) or ram on a concrete barrier (which has a high-probability of death for the driver).
