SCENARIO AND QUESTIONS FOR INTERVIEW
By the virtue of this assignment, I have focused on the issue of the D
omestic Violence. This is a fictional scenario where case manager will be employed for local Domestic Violence and getting the shelter for children and women. One client, Emily was referred to the shelter located near to the Police Department of the Hampton City as well as Child Protective Services. Emily arrived to this shelter with her son on an urgent basis since both of them required immediate services.
Background and Explanation of Scenario
Emily, who is 28 years old is physically disabled and married to Jack. She is a stay-at-home mother of one child: Peter who is four-year-old. Jack is 30-year-old, has a problem of substance abuse, conflicted with drug indulgence and alcohols. Due to this he can't hold even one job in the past few years. The family survives under a very tight budget as well as live under Section 8 that helps in paying their rent and bills for utility. Emily is disabled and hence is always dependent on Jack financially, mentally and emotionally. However, she earns a steady income from the initiatives like SSI/SSD. On the other hand, Jack hardly works and even if he manages to get a job, he never puts an effort to performance well in the job. For Kevin, both the parents have expired and left no financial support for him. Emily is isolated and can’t meet her parents. Jack has serious anger management issues, once he is drunk or high on drugs, he becomes very aggressive and physically abuses Emily.
