ESSAY
After you've finished your video, write a 3-5 page paper describing how the mise-en-scène, cinematography, editing, and sound were used to convey meaning in the scene from the original film. Are there a lot of close-ups? Was a handheld camera used? Is the lighting dark or bright? Is the editing fast or slow? Are there any ways that your scene differs from the original scene? Based on what you saw in the original scene, and your experience recreating it, what meanings and emotions do you think the filmmakers were trying to convey?

It's fine to talk a bit about your experiences recreating the scene, butthe bulk of your paper should be about the original scene.

You don't need to use outside sources for this paper, but you can if you'd like (interviews with the filmmakers can be especially helpful when you're trying to discern meaning). If you do use any outside sources make sure to properly cite them.

Make sure to include a link to the original scene in your paper.

My comments

-I know the video that I made is very flickery sorry about that but please watch through it because you will need it for the essay

- Also for the original video you will only need to watch it up to the 2-minute mark, the movie is Get Out I will provide the link below
