Introduction
A number of sustainable food is available in the hand of consumer but the process of producing that sustainable food can lead to several environmental issues. This essay is based on production process of ‘Chocolate’ and identification of environmental issues due to production of chocolate.
Discussion
Chocolate is one of the most common foods produced across the globe. Some of the most common ingredients required for producing chocolate are Sugar, cocoa, butter, vanilla, milk powder, lecithin and others (Harwood, Ziegler & Hayes, 2013). Most of the ingredients are harvested in an organic way. For example, cocoa is cultivated in hill stations area where the temperature is comparatively lesser than other parts of a nation. Machines used for cultivating Cocoa is almost zero. Apart from cocoa, milk powder and butter is made out of milk. In this situation also, zero fertilizer is being used in order to grow grass for cows in order to retrieve high-quality milk.
