Executive Summary
    HIV/AIDS had become a major health issue in Australia. Australians get infected by HIV rapidly because of their lack of precautions while having sex and blood transfusion. The public policy of HIV/AIDS was introduced by the Australian government in 2011 to reduce the enhancement of HIV in Australia. The public policy is incorporated with Disability Discrimination Act 1992. According to the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, people affected with HIV cannot be discriminated in having healthcare facilities. The public policy has affected very positively on the Australian society by abating the rate of HIV in Australia through the enforcement of various legislations.

    HIV/AIDS had become a major health issue in Australia. Australians get infected by HIV rapidly because of their lack of precautions while having sex and blood transfusion. Therefore, the Australian government had decided to introduce HIV/AIDS public policy to reduce the enhanced rate of HIV affected people in 2011. The Australian government had enforced some regulations through the policy to reduce the rate of HIV infected people. In this assignment, we will study about the HIV/AIDS public policy introduced by Australian government and its impact on the Australian society.

    The Australian government in 2011 introduced the public policy of HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS had become one of the major health problems in Australia. Therefore, the Australian government introduce the HIV/AIDS public policy in 2011 to reduce the possibility transmission of HIV/ AIDS among people. The public policy is incorporated with Disability Discrimination Act 1992. As opined by Murray (2018), the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 states that people cannot be discriminated based on their disabilities on their health issues. Thus, the public policies of HIV/AIDS have included HIV/AIDS as a disability of people and have prohibited discrimination towards the HIV/AIDS infected people.
