Epicurus, Bentham, and Mill were all hedonists. They all claimed pleasure is the only good that we desire for itself and not for what it can get us. They also thought pleasure and happiness were the same thing. Are there other fundamental values in human life besides pleasure that we desire just for themselves and not for what they can get us? If so, what are they?
