Introduction
In this paper the main focus is shed upon Erik Erikson Theory of education and how it impacts the teaching in high school. In his theory Erikson has focused upon the fact that the individual faces conflict at almost each stage, which may or may not be successfully resolved within that stage. In his theory he has classified several stages and described what generally happens in each stage. His theory impacts the teaching in high school in substantial ways. In this paper one of the stage discussed by him in his theory that is identity vs role confusion would be taken into account.
Erik Erikson Theory of Education
The Erik Erikson theory of education focuses on several aspects-
In his theory of education Erik stated that the personality develops in a pre determined order through eight stages of psychosocial development.
He stated that if a person successfully complete each stage it leads to healthy personality.
He also stated that the successful completion of each stage would help in the acquisition of basic virtues.
In his theory Erikson channelizes eight stages that he find quite essential for the personality development and skill acquisition. The eight stages include trust vs mistrust, autonomy vs shame/doubt, initiative vs guilt, industry vs inferiority, identity vs role confusion, intimacy vs isolation, generativity vs stagnation and integrity vs despair. In this paper the high school student are taken into context that is why identity vs role confusion is selected as it specifies the adolescence stage (Infante).

Impact Upon Teaching in High School
The teachers faces adolescents performing rebellious actions and testing their limits.
The teachers need to portray extra focus on such kind of students.
The teachers face difficulties in teaching the students along with complying with their changing nature and behaviours.
According to the theory along with the basic teaching the teachers also focuses on the identity development of the students.
The impact of the theory can be acknowledged by the fact that the teachers focuses on making a good relationship with the students to know them better.
