Introduction
The children who need special kinds of attention are the people who have some disabilities in the body. There need some kinds of special needs to live in society.
. The special kinds of needs in the children can be children who are deaf, blind, half blind, have down syndrome etc. the special kinds of needs which they need from the people to do any kinds of works are called children with special needs.
Children from different ages can also need different types of attention according to their requirements and needs. Therefore, the teacher or the people need to set up different types of strategies to deal with them.
1. Strategy to use with children who have specific needs
Children who have difficulties in learning something can be identified with the children with special needs. They can have different types of difficulties such as deafness, blindness, Down syndrome, neurological disorders etc. learning disabilities can happen from various reasons. The children with difficulties can process and understand everything and information which they can gather themselves. However, they cannot understand properly what is going on quickly in the class for having some psychological and neurological difficulties. They can have difficulties in listening, thinking, writing, speaking, spelling, doing tough math explain reasons and many more.
There are different kinds of difficulties and that can be seen in the children. The difficulties are called deafness, blindness, Down syndrome, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, visual disorder, perception disorder, auditory disorders, and language disorders; speaking disorders etc., these are all learning disorders. A teacher needs to understand the children with special needs and their difficulties (Ashman & Conway, 2017). According to their needs and difficulties, a teacher needs to make some different types of strategies to understand and help the children in the learning processing. Children with different types of needs need to be taught differently for making them understand the education. They need special kinds of accommodations to improve their learning ability. Every child with special needs is different from each other so their helping strategies need to be different.
The strategies are that can make the children with disabilities and special needs understand the study.
Maintain an organized classroom:
In a classroom with special needs children needs to be modified. The structure of the classroom needs to be maintained. The equipment of the classroom need to be labelled properly as the children may not have any problem identifying those things. The desks, chairs, colour boxes, boards, pencil boxes need to be labelled properly. The deaf students can understand hand signs so the teacher need to articulate along with using hands which can help the children who have deafness.
The children who have blindness can read Braille language by touching the letters. Therefore, the teacher will teach the blind students Braille language in order to learn the education.
Children with down syndrome may not having any kind of learning disabilities but the teacher needs to pay attention to these kinds of children also as they have high chances to be bullied for their physical structure, height.
Use music and voice:
At the time of teaching, the teacher needs to use more voice, music, and computerized boards to grab the attention of the children. The children are mostly inattentive to the study, as they love to play all the time (Lai, Shum & Tian, 2016). In these cases, the children with special needs will not be attracted in the monotonous way of studying. So to approach the class friendly and to make the learners attentive, the teacher may say the rhymes with music, may show some rhyme videos, movies, which are important for them on learning in order to make them happy.
2. An age appropriate learning activity for a selected age group
Learning activities need to be different for different age groups. According to their needs and difficulties, a teacher needs to make some different types of strategies to understand and help the children in the learning processing. If the age of the children is a toddler from three to five then the learning activity will be based on their needs, requirements, age, learning ability. If the children are very small then they will need to learn only the letters of their mother...
