In addition, leaders must be able to help educate other team members who may be involved in these functions. This assignment is designed to help you become more familiar with pertinent employment law and to engage you in the practice of training others in this area.






    Assume the role of an educational leader within your organization. You have been tasked with developing a presentation related to potential legal issues and recommendations for avoiding legal pitfalls. Your presentation topic may focus on either employee recruitment or employee discipline.






    Prepare a Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation on your selected topic. Your presentation must address the following areas:



    • An overview of the related case law and statutory law

    • A discussion of the legal rights and responsibilities of employees involved (in employee recruitment or discipline)

    • An outline of the current legal pitfalls associated with your topic

    • Recommendation to help employees avoid these common legal pitfalls






    Generate detailed speaker’s notes for each of your content slides. Speaker’s notes are typically written in the section below each slide. Remember that your speaker’s notes should be written as if you were giving an actual presentation, so write well and communicate your information clearly.

Introduction
The US Department of Labor administers and enforces a number of federal laws that are associated with employment and other regulations that cover the workplace activities for all the American population. These laws can invariably be referred to as employment laws. This particular study presents the pertinent employment laws focusing on employee recruitment in an organization. It will further elaborate on the potential legal issues associated with the aspect of employee recruitment in an organization. Thereafter, an outline of the current legal pitfalls associated with employee recruitment will be presented. The possible ways to avoid the common legal pitfalls will be provided in this presentation. An effective recommendation for the employees will be elaborated to help employees avoid these common legal pitfalls.
Related Laws and Statutory Laws on Employment
The Primary Federal employment laws are Title VII of the Civil rights act, the Americans with disability act, the age discrimination in employment act, the equal pay act, the Fair labor standards act, the family and medical leave act, the Immigration Reform and Control Act, the National Labor Relations Act, Occupational safety and health act, uniformed services employment, and reemployment rights act, and the Federal Executive order 11246 of the government. These acts are effectively considered during the selection for the recruitment process of a candidate.
Laws associated with Employee Recruitment
The federal laws that are associated with the recruitment of the employees in the organization ensure certain norms and legal acts for both the employers and the employees. These laws effectively influence the selection process of the candidates and ensure a justified recruitment process.
