Economics 481Summer 2021Case Study PaperYour task is to forecast for two periods ahead for the assigned data set and prepare maximum 4 page executive summary write up of the analysis performed and a final recommendation on your forecasts. You should apply the philosophy and techniques we have learned in class to analyze the data, construct your own forecasting models, compare different models, choose a forecasting model, and provide a two-period ahead out-of-sample forecast of the variable. The paper is not graded based on how close the forecasts are to the actual values of the variable but on the ability to support the final forecast with valid reasoning. Explain why you chose the forecasting model you used. The grading rubric for the paper is on the next page of this handout. The paper must be submitted through the appropriate assignment link in Canvas by noon on Tuesday, June 22.
