What are in your opinion the main reasons why religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism have not had relevant success in the West? In the past few decades, however, there seems to have been in the West a constant stream of conversion to many Islamic and other religions that originated in the Far East. What properties and benefits do you think westerners see in these religions that make them appealing – and yet hard to grasp? Write a two-page short essay that tackles these questions.

Please note:
Though using in-text citations is excellent, it isn't necessary to cite the author for each sentence. If you do this, whom ever is reading the text is not seeing your voice emerge through the writing. It is best to reference the author once or twice, but then allow your voice and tone to come through by providing your own analysis of the material.

beliefs have pointed to the fact that many Westerners are getting converted into religions that had
their inception in the Far East, and this emphasizes the point that though such religions seem
appealing to the senses and emotions of myriads of Westerners, for majority of Westerners the
philosophy of such religions are not easy to grasp. That is the reason why, still in the West, a
dilemma is reigning in respect of determining whether to accept religious views of Hinduism,
Buddhism, and other such religions or not.
The contradiction that exists between the teachings of Buddhism and the...
