Each profession has its own Code of Ethics to abide by. The book discusses portions of the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers. Many of the items in this Code of Ethics are similar to those for the Human Services Worker. This Code of Ethics has been established by the National Organization for Human Services. There are 44 Standards that comprise the Ethical Standards for Human Service Professionals. This assignment will be graded based on:

• Quality of content including the ability to summarize the highlights of the Code of Ethics, ability to state your view of why this important, and your ability to clearly identify how it will influence you as you prepare to enter the human service field. (15 points)
