Ain't No Making' by Jay MacLeod is as educational and relevant today as it was when it was originally published in 1987 in terms of comprehending the poverty cycle (MacLeod). McLeod claims that schools are a key factor in perpetuating and legitimizing class viewpoints and structures. The Brothers are mostly black and have bigger hopes for their future.
