The following services are provided by the Directorate: Obtaining a new driving license Renewing driving license Exchanging an approved foreign driving license Vehicle registration Renewal of vehicle registration . Transfer of ownership of vehicles A new vehicle must be registered within 50 days of purchase with the Directorate . A vehicle regardless of its type can be owned by an individual, a company or both an individual and a company. The vehicle registration fee depends upon the engine capacity of the vehicle. An Individual can have a maximum of 3 vehicles registered to his name while a company can have any number of registered vehicles . Applicants having valid driving license can register the vehicle . The Directorate is also responsible for the issuing of license to the drivers in the country . The minimum age limit for getting a driving license is • For citizens : ( 17 years ) • For Residents : ( 18 years old ) In order to get the driving license test every applicant has to pass the following tests Eye Vision Test Traffic Sign Test Drum and Slope Test Road Test The Directorate keeps track of all the details of the applicant, and are available on request to the applicant.
