Draw a sketch of the survey pegs and on it indicate the angles to be measured. Identify clearly how you will determine the internal angles in the triangle formed by the three pegs using ‘face left’ and ‘face right’ angles at each station, and also indicate how you will check your angular measurements for the ‘triangle’. Carry out the angular measurements necessary to fix the position of all three pegs using a standard booking system and method. Carry out a check calculation to show that all the internal angles add up to 180° and hence state your misclosure. If it is an acceptable error, make necessary corrections to spread the closing error to all three angles. Work out the height of an inaccessible object on a slope.
