Assignment: Research current events related to the course topics covered in Units 1–4 and post at least two of these events to the Discussion Board. Within your posting, describe how your chosen items tie into a review of the course thus far. You may use the Library or any other outside resource for your research. Be sure to use proper APA citation. Review your fellow students’ postings and respond to at least three events by posting throughout the week. You can look at my classmate assignment below to help you understand. This is my classmate assignment below: I researched two events: 1. There was an attack on U.S. embassy in Baghdad, Iraq due to United Stated air strikes on Iran - backed militia. In the backstory airstrikes happened because previously Iran initiated a strike where an US military contractor was killed (Damon, Dewan, & Khadder, 2019). This event doesn't relate to our class, but it does relate to the field of Criminal Justice in general because we study how to protect the Unites States soil against the foreign and domestic enemies. The second event was that a Herington Police officer was let go after the officer fabricated the writing on the McDonald's coffee cup saying: "F... Pig". The officer was saying that this was a McDonald's employee, who wrote it. The McDonald's employees denied any involvement and was very cooperative during the investigation. Then officer was let go ( Kesslen & Madani, 2019). This relates to our class, because we study mood and emotions. The officers behavior could of been caused by an emotion or a mood that day, perhaps the McDonald's employee did not make the officers coffee strong enough or maybe did not put sugar in.  Source: Kesslen, B., & Madani, D.
