Timothy Morton is a leading philosopher of ontology and ecological theory, Rita Shea Guffey Chair and a professor in English at the Rice University. An official broadcast of “The End of the World Has Already Happened” was premiered on 2 Jan 2020 and aired in three different parts. The broadcast was put in Houston and it was regarding global warming. It was a deep reflective observation on how to face the global warming and the distress and anxiety created by the immense reaction to it. He talked about the death of approximately half billion animals in the still burning Australian bushfires and the absolute impractical idea of planting approximately one trillion trees to nullify the carbon emissions.
