	For the conduction of the research and delivery of the quality project, the topic of the project is selected. Since, in this case, topic is already given which role of information technology in managed care organization, the first step taken was to search about managed care organization, which is selected as a care study to do the project. As mentioned by Schmuland (2018), all the information related to the managed care organization, which includes their role in the healthcare system, and the stakeholders associated with the organization to get the idea about functioning. Then, research was conducted on the information technology used in healthcare system. This provides the role about the healthcare technology. 
After that, research is conducted on the types of the information technology, the way they function, and the application of the technology in the healthcare system. This helps in deciding the technology, which can be implemented in the managed care organization to achieve the desired outcomes (Stern & Horton, 2019). Since objective of the project is to identify the information technology, which can be implemented in the managed care organization to make it operational, therefore, desk research is done in which, article related to health information system is searched and critically analyzed to reach the desired outcome.

	There are mainly six key element in the healthcare system. These components include resources, indicators, data sources, data management, information products, and dissemination and use. In resources, the legislative, planning and regulatory frameworks are required for system functionality. This includes personnel, financing, logistic support, information and communication technology (Cryts, 2015). In indicator, input, output, and outcomes along with health indicators were included. In data sources, population-based and institution-based data sources are selected. 
In data management, collection and storage, quality analysis, processing and flow, compilation and analysis is done.
