Adverse possession is generally a law of real estate, i
n which the law allows a person who has possessed a plot of land of another person for a long period, can claim the ownership of the land in a legal way. As stated by the law there is many elements of adverse possession, among them four notable elements are -
i. The property should be real - The person occupying the plot with physical possession and must be protecting and using it as the actual owner (De Biasi, 2019).
ii. The property should be notorious and open, i.e., the person occupying it must need to act as the actual owner and performing actions, which are not harming the property, in such cases evidences of the locals are to be gathered.
