Question 1: Discuss the types of property, providing an example of each and why each falls into its classification.
Broadly, there are three types of property – private property, public property and collective property. The above classification depends on the ownership of property. Properties which are owned by non-government legal entities are classified as Private property, whereas properties owned by the state for public use are classified as Public property. Collective property or common ownership properties are those where ownership is in name of group of members (Floyd and Allen, 2012).
