Which 3 did you read?
The three writings that were read by me were “You don’t have to win cancer ‘battle”, “The displaced voice behind the ‘X
”, and “Are we too quick to reward queer representation?”
Think about the genre features charts you've been doing. How were the samples you chose to were read good examples of the genre?
A genre refers to the particularity of the purpose and the audience for which it is created. It consist of several identifying features which determine the way how the message will be conveyed to the audience (Worshan et al., 2018). A genre can be a short story, article, movie, speech, or any business report (Chartier et al., 2006). The genre in the above-provided literature is short stories. The purpose of these stories is to convey the personal opinion of the writer about some important social issues. The writer has conveyed the messages with harsh language and valid arguments.
Can you point to rhetorical tactics (ethos, pathos, logos, kairos, telos) they used, and tell us how these helped them communicate more effectively
Rhetorical tactics are commonly used in essays and short writing for better communication between writers and the audience. They help the writer to build the argument based on the instances that helps them to connect with the audience. There are five types of rhetorical tactics namely telos, ethos, pathos, logos, and Kairos (Jeffrey et al, 2016)....
