Discuss your readings, thoughts, and experiences to date regarding emotional intelligence (EI). Is it more, less, or of equal importance as IQ for determining workplace success? Include your thoughts regarding the Emotional Intelligence Appraisal as well. You don’t have to provide specifics from the appraisal if you don’t want to… just your thoughts.Threaded discussions are just that a discussion, it is one way to track attendance and to further the discussion with other members of the class. If this were a face-to-face discussion I’m sure you would respond to what your classmates say, so respond to what they post. Waiting to the last possible day to your minimum of four posts so you can get the full 50 points is not really participating in the discussion. (NOTE: if you want 50 points for discussion participation you need to post at least four responses – one response is worth 12.5, two 25, and so forth.)There is no set number of words required; however, there needs to be substance to the postings. Grammar school responses like – “I agree with your post”, “that was a wonderful post”, “I like what you posted” do not add any substance to the discussion.Discussions aid in learning the subject matter, so the more discussion the more a student tends to learn.
