How France and the U.S differ on Culture and Ethics
The following article is a brief study of the culture and ethics in Eu
rope & France, their
similarities (in brief) and differences (in detail). The article ends with the key

Americans are primarily descendants of European immigrants. (source The Handbook of
International Migration page 130-131) Because of this common history there exist few
similarities in the culture and work ethics of the two regions.
A few of the similarities include believing in self-dependence, strong belief in laws and religion,
importance of children, belief in supernatural, human rights system etc. Both countries are free
when it comes to religion and women unlike Arab where women cannot work or vote. Women
have the same rights as the men. Moreover, France and the USA both have the capitalism

However, there are huge differences. French society is far more polished and sophisticated. They
are very formal and the informal nature of Americans often comes across as impolite to them.
