Note: Your Learning Facilitator may allocate different topics to different students (or groups of students).
Task:
§
1.0 Nominate a hospitality business, which will form the basis for this assessment project.
Introduce the venue. List the characteristics of the selected venue in bullet format, addressing aspects such as location (business address), guest capacity, service style, cuisine/meal experience, atmosphere, design, customer expectations, etc. You should also include images of the venue and facilities.

2.0 Identify the designated area of legislation and list all the policies that may need to be developed and implemented by the selected business to ensure compliance with the designated area of legislation.

3.0 Develop and write up one of the policies listed in 2.0.

Ensure to reference the relevant legislation and compliance codes.
o
State roles and responsibilities.
o
Indicate how often you would review this policy.
o
Note: No more than 10% of direct quotations are permitted in the policy.

4.0 Develop the documentation required to support the policy prepared for Task 3.0. This may includ instruction manuals, SOP documents, forms, checklists, posters, communication templates, etc.
Minimum three (3) relevant documents required.
Organise and index all the relevant documentation.
§
5.0 Explain how you would train staff on the policy and the procedures to support the policy.
Develop a training plan clearly outlining the subject/content of the training, timing, frequency, staff responsible for the training delivery and training evaluation strategy.
§
6.0 Explain how you would disseminate the policy and associated procedures to ensure it is accessible to staff.
Outline the communication channels, method, timing/frequency and responsibilities.
§
7.0 Describe how you would remain updated in this area of law.
§
8.0 Outline how you would share updated regulatory knowledge with staff.
§
Submit your completed work in a report format adhering to the standard APA formatting guidelines.

Reference all sources cited.
