Note: The outline for Chapter 2 should include all the topics discussed in the Chapter 1 purpose section, research questions, and theoretical/conceptual framework. It is important to ensure the literature review will include sufficient depth and breadth. Keep in mind the completed Chapter 2 will need to include at least 30 pages prior to proposal approval, which usually occurs during DOC/741.

The reason for the lack of summer reading practices among students are already provided in the Chapter 1 and the ways of its improvement are discussed. The conceptual framework based on the social learning theory and the faucet theory will be further reviewed to address the survey question of including the parents to reduce the loss of summer reading.
To study further on the removal of the problem and gathering the appropriate knowledge about it, further literature review is necessary. The process of the literature review, which will help in designing the chapter, will be discussed below according to the purpose of the research. This will give some knowledge about the keywords searches, which are effective for a research design.
Title Searches and Documentation
    The systematic approach is used for the literature searches and the documentation. It is an efficient and complete procedure of literature searches (Bramer, de Jonge, Rethlefsen, Mast & Kleijnen, 2018). This approach adds several words to the search process to obtain the best result regarding the topic. The keywords used in this purpose are summer reading, summer reading loss, summer reading initiatives, family co-operation in summer reading, social approach theory to increase summer reading practices, programs to adopt for improving the summer reading.

Under this area of relevant searches, we can get the knowledge about the effects of reading activities and the achievements through it (Kim, 2007).
