Then make a list of three barriers you have experienced (or anticipate experiencing) with regard to trying to enhance your multicultural competence in the area of substance abuse counseling. Finally, develop possible intervention strategies in response to these struggles/issues that address how you plan to work around the barriers to your professional development.
