Develop a model for your chosen computer solution platform that can be used to analyze piston–cylinder devices. In the model, you can ignore the effects of changes in kinetic energy and potential energy, but there should be provisions for heat transfer and work. In addition, you should design the model to be able to handle different functional relationships for work (i.e., constant-pressure, polytropic, and a polynomial function). The model should be usable for a wide range of fluids, and should be able to be used for ideal gases with both constant and variable specific heats. Upon completion, the model can be tested through comparison with the results in Example 4.14.
