Storytelling:
Well, there is one couple not that happily married living in a beautiful house. Kate and John Coleman’s marriage has been facing issues soon after losing their 3rd child before her birth. They named her Jessica whose death majorly affect Kate and she is seen to be struggling with being an alcoholic and coping with the death of her unborn daughter. They both decide to adopt a child from an orphanage. They met a girl who was 9-year-old Ether at St. Mariana’s Home for girls and chooses her to be their 3rd child while they have a 5-year-old daughter who was deaf Max and a 12-year-old son Daniel. Max instantly accepts Esther as her sister, but Daniel still manages to accept that.
One night Ether caught Kate & John making love and asking too many questions which lead to Kate’s suspicion towards her because getting that sort of knowledge for a 9-year-old is weird for her. Esther then shows her true brutal side to Max & Daniel by killing a pigeon very badly and then hurting one of their classmates ruthlessly which makes them terrified. After that day, sister Abigail came to visit their home and inform Kate about Ether that she is always around the accidents and sudden deaths which makes little difficult to trust her.
