Background
Legitimacy is a fundamental aspect of strategic planning that entails the public acquiescence of the organisation's actions. In social philosophy, legitimacy refers to the authority and acknowledgement of a governing regime or law. Legitimacy refers to a system of administration where government refers to a "sphere of control." A legitimate authority frequently has the entitlement and rationalisation to assert control (Belizón & Kieran 2021). Political legitimacy is regarded as a fundamental requirement for governance, beyond which an administration will face legislative collapse and deadlock(s). The word legitimacy is more often strongly construed in moral philosophy as the normative status communicated by an administrated individual on their governors' organisations, workplaces, and activities, based on the conviction that their administration's actions are suitable utilisation of power by a statutory body administration (Thomas & Ritala 2021). This paper focuses on the legitimacy and its status in some countries.
A Country which lacks Legitimacy
Brazil is one of the countries which suffers problems due to a lack of legitimacy. The Brazilian political system is battered and bruised. A significant proportion of Brazilians despise the nation's major political parties and representatives, but they continue to believe that elections will heal the wounds left by the economic downturn, corrupt practices, and the previous year's presidential indictments (Jackson et al. 2022). Warfare and internal strife frequently shake democracies, causing clashes, dissonance, and intrusions on the republican legal system. The nation reacted to the crisis in 2009 with counter-cyclical policy initiatives that alleviated pain and sheltered the most susceptible, but an ideal storm hit Brasilia during 2014, destroying the economy and undermining Brazilian democracy's legitimacy (Belizón & Kieran 2021).
The start of the economic downturn corresponded with disclosures from the Lava Jato corrupt practices response team, which discovered that politicians and corporate executives had colluded to syphon off sourcing kickbacks to fund political candidates and parties.
