ight atrium, which than flows to the left ventricle with the help of the tricuspid valve. This valve regulates the backward flow of the blood into the atrium again. The blood than leaves the heart into the pulmonary artery through the pulmonic valve and goes into the lungs for further circulation throughout the entire human body.
2) The smaller arteries along with the arterioles are known as the resistance vessels in our circulatory system. These resistance vessels are controlled by the constriction and dilation of the neuronal and hormonal signals.
3) The arteries transport blood under high pressure as compared to the veins so the arteries have thicker and muscular walls as compared to the veins which have thinner and less muscular walls as they carry the blood with low pressure. The walls of the arteries are more elastic...
