Describe the law of Prägnanz and how it was explained by the Gestaltists

Laws of Prägnanz and Gestalt Laws
Law of Prägnanz states that while choosing among a set of elements which is interpreted in various ways i.e. interpretation of an element in a simple and complex pattern. People choose only the elements in the simplest way. Here, simplest means selecting the element which is having few rudiments rather than many elements. It is the choosing of symmetrical elements rather than choosing the asymmetrical elements. This is also known as the Gestalt principles of perception. It is also known as the law of simplicity or good configuration. Hence, the term prägnanz is a German term which simply means “good figure”.
