Description
    Addiction in itself is a very destructive characteristic of human beings. Being addicted to a certain thing or substance can bring misery to the human being in the short future. That is the reason why addiction is always seen in the negative limelight. Different scholars have different opinions about the origin of addiction in general. There are different kinds of theories and approaches behind the origin of addiction within a certain human being. Thus, the addiction has different kinds of dimension within human beings based on its source of origin (Ouzir & Errami, 2016).
The theory that will be discussed in the course of this discussion is the theory related to the genetic theory of addiction. It comprises the fact that the addiction disorder can pass on to generations through their genes. The addiction disorder remains in the system of the future generation if their predecessors have the same problems. Thus, the passing on of the disorder to one generation to another can be described as the genetic theory of addiction.
